Job Overview

We are currently recruiting experienced and confident A&E Nurses to work within a busy hospital Emergency Department in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering safe, responsive, and high-quality emergency care.

You will play a vital role in assessing, treating, and supporting patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergency conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, patient-centred care in an A&E setting
• Rapid assessment, triage, and prioritisation of patients
• Delivering emergency nursing interventions in line with clinical protocols
• Monitoring patient conditions and escalating concerns appropriately
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Working closely with doctors, paramedics, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensuring patient safety, dignity, and infection control standards are met

Requirements

• Valid NMC registration (Registered Nurse – Adult)
• Recent experience working in an A&E / Emergency Department setting
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
• Right to work in the UK and completion of compliance checks
