About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Support Worker Team Leader to join a children’s care service in Oxford. This temporary-to-permanent role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and leading a team to deliver exceptional care and support services.

You will oversee daily operations, support staff performance, and ensure children receive high-quality, person-centred care within a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of support workers
• Ensure high standards of care and safeguarding are maintained
• Support children and young people with their daily needs and development
• Assist with staff supervision, shift planning, and team coordination
• Maintain accurate documentation and incident reports
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals
• Promote a safe, supportive, and structured environment
• Encourage independence, confidence, and well-being in young people

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People preferred)
• Previous experience working with children in a care environment
• Experience leading or supervising a team preferred
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Flexible and reliable approach to work
• Full UK driving licence preferred
