Position Overview:

As a Nurse Manager leading the Northern Ireland Recruitment Team, you will be a key driver in the strategic planning and execution of nursing recruitment. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring a seamless transition for nurses relocating from the UK, overseeing complaints procedures, maintaining compliance with new legislation within Health Boards, creating relationships with key stakeholders, and actively contributing to the resourcing strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Transition Management:

Facilitate and coordinate the smooth transition of nurses relocating from the UK to Northern Ireland.

Collaborate with departments to streamline onboarding processes and address relocation challenges.

Complaints Procedures Oversight:

Develop, implement, and oversee effective complaints procedures aligned with regulatory standards.

Investigate and resolve complaints promptly, ensuring fair and transparent resolution.

Implement preventive measures to enhance overall service quality and patient satisfaction.

Legislation Compliance:

Stay informed about new legislation impacting healthcare practices within Northern Ireland.

Ensure Health Boards and the recruitment team comply with all legislative requirements.

Develop and deliver training programs to keep the team updated on regulatory changes.

Stakeholder Rapport:

Cultivate and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, including Health Boards, regulatory bodies, and community organisations.

Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance recruitment strategies and address staffing needs.

Act as a liaison between the recruitment team and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and mutual understanding.

Resourcing Strategy:

Contribute actively to the development and implementation of the resourcing strategy.

Participate in workforce planning, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet healthcare requirements.

Be involved in the placement of workers into specific roles, aligning with organisational needs.

Team Leadership:

Provide strong leadership to the recruitment team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Conduct regular team meetings to discuss updates, address concerns, and strategise on recruitment goals.

Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Registered Nurse with a valid license.

Proven experience in nurse recruitment and management.

In-depth knowledge of healthcare legislation and regulations in Northern Ireland.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Familiarity with resourcing and workforce planning strategies.

Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
