We have exciting opportunities across multiple locations all over Northern Ireland, offering competitive pay salaries ranging from £23,949 – £27,055 per year.

In addition to the competitive salary, this position offers an all-inclusive relocation package, covering travel, accommodation, and a 5-year VISA with full sponsorship.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality recovery-oriented, patient-centred nursing care, conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications, conduct risk assessments, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
  • Clinical Leadership: Lead and participate in clinical audits, maintain medication administration within guidelines, and provide clinical supervision for the healthcare team.
  • Professional Accountability: Adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct, maintain NMC registration, and ensure compliance with Trust, Hospital, and NMC policies in all nursing procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. Promote a collaborative approach with service users, carers, and others.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and coping strategies to support recovery.
  • Crisis Intervention: Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation as required to ensure patient safety.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and NMC standards.

Qualifications & Training

Essential:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
  • Proficiency in mental health care procedures, including risk assessment and management.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Order (NI) 1986.
  • Familiarity with clinical supervision and multidisciplinary care.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to supervise others.

Desired:

  • Organisational knowledge related to Health & Safety, complaints procedures, and safeguarding for adults and children.
  • Understanding of the Mental Health Care Pathway/Integrated care pathway for OPMH.
  • Competencies in motivational skills.
  • Additional clinical or department-specific knowledge.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 months minimum of working as a Mental Health Nurse
  • IELTS or OET: Language Proficiency
