Your Role Will Include:

• Providing high-quality, person-centred care to young people based on individual needs and risk assessments
• Supporting with emotional, social, and practical challenges including personal care and medication administration where necessary
• Building positive relationships with young people and their families
• Helping young people develop independence through everyday tasks like cooking, shopping, and managing their homes
• Keeping accurate records and contributing to care planning
• Liaising with external professionals to ensure joined-up support
• Promoting communication and participation so every voice is heard
• Maintaining your professional registration and following health and safety standards

What You’ll Need:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve within 2 years)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Resilience and the ability to handle challenging behaviours
• Confidence in recording, planning, and organising work
• Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
• A caring, professional approach aligned with our values
• Must have NISCC
• Experience working with children

Team and Reporting:

You’ll be working as part of a dedicated team, with 2–4 direct line reports. Supervision, training, and development are all part of the journey.
