Your Role Will Include:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care to young people based on individual needs and risk assessments
- Supporting with emotional, social, and practical challenges including personal care and medication administration where necessary
- Building positive relationships with young people and their families
- Helping young people develop independence through everyday tasks like cooking, shopping, and managing their homes
- Keeping accurate records and contributing to care planning
- Liaising with external professionals to ensure joined-up support
- Promoting communication and participation so every voice is heard
- Maintaining your professional registration and following health and safety standards
What You’ll Need:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve within 2 years)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Resilience and the ability to handle challenging behaviours
- Confidence in recording, planning, and organising work
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- A caring, professional approach aligned with our values
- Must have NISCC
- Experience working with children
Team and Reporting:
You’ll be working as part of a dedicated team, with 2–4 direct line reports. Supervision, training, and development are all part of the journey.
