Registered Mental Health Nurse Role in Northern Ireland
We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our healthcare team in Northern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities for the Registered Mental Health Nurse Nurse Role:
- Deliver urgent mental health care and crisis intervention to patients presenting with psychiatric emergencies, including severe distress, suicidal ideation, psychosis, or risk to others.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team—alongside psychiatrists, social workers, and emergency medical staff—to stabilise patients and initiate appropriate care pathways, including admission or community-based follow-up.
- Continuously monitor patient mental state, behaviour, and risk levels, adjusting care plans and de-escalation techniques in real time.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with safeguarding protocols, legal requirements (e.g., Mental Health Act), and professional standards.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
