About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them make positive life changes?
We’re seeking an experienced Youth Justice Officer to join a local authority’s Youth Justice Service on a full-time contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of young people involved in the criminal justice system, helping them reintegrate into society and reduce reoffending.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of young people under statutory or voluntary supervision
- Complete ASSET+ and PDAT assessments
- Prepare Pre-Sentence Reports and Referral Order Reports
- Deliver tailored, evidence-based intervention plans
- Attend court hearings, Referral Order Panels, and Joint Decision-Making Panels
- Participate in the team’s duty rota as required
About You
We’re looking for a committed and skilled professional who is confident working with vulnerable young people in complex situations.
Essential requirements:
- Background in Youth Justice, Probation, Social Work, or Youth Work
- Proven experience in case management, court work, and report writing
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Availability to start in mid-November
